What happens if I have cold or flu-like symptoms?
|
You’ve probably heard about the Coronavirus in the news. The health risk remains low for most people, but if you have cold or flu-like symptoms it is important to visit a clinic.
If you experience any of the following, visit your doctor or a medical clinic in your neighborhood:
Fever
Cough or sore throat
Runny or stuffy nose
Body aches, headache, or chills
If you feel ill, here a few ways to stop spreading illness:
Stay home and get lots of rest
Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue
Follow your doctor’s advice
Only call 911 for serious or life-threatening emergencies. For most issues like the cold or flu, you will receive better care at a clinic. Wait times are shorter. Follow-up care is better. Also, there is probably one close by in your neighborhood.
