Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an additional arrest has been made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in the 100 block of Pierce Street, Northwest.
At approximately 1:25 pm, the victim and suspect arranged a meeting through the “Offer Up” app to sell a vehicle. When the victim arrived, two suspects approached the victim. After the victim paid the suspects for the vehicle, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim exit the vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle.
Previously, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 19 year-old adult male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
On Thursday, February 11, 2021, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 20 year-old Damian Lea, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
