Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1300 Block of 4th Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, September 14, 2019, in the 1300 block of 4th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 6:50 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Saturday, September 14, 2019, 55-year-old Frank Hamm, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
