Arrest Made in Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Offenses in the First District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in the below listed Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offenses that occurred in the First District:

Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Pipe): On Friday, August 16, 2019, in the 400 block of Oklahoma Avenue, Northeast, at approximately 7:50 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim with a pipe. The suspect then fled the scene. CCN: 19-145-178

Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Other): On Sunday, August 18, 2019, in the 2400 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast, at approximately 9:15 pm, the victim was approached by several suspects at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted the victim with a bicycle rim. CCN 19-146-554

Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Bat): On Sunday, November 3, 2019, in the 2000 block of C Street, Northeast, at approximately 4:47 pm, the victim was approached by several suspects at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim with a softball bat. CCN: 19-197-273

On Thursday, January 2, 2020, a 13 year-old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with the above offenses.

These cases remain under investigation.
