Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, November 11, 2019, in the 500 block of 7th Street, Northwest.
The victim in this case was operating a taxicab and the suspects were the passengers. At approximately 5:44 pm, while at the listed location, the suspects exited the victim’s vehicle without paying fare. When the victim confronted the suspects, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and threatened the victim. The victim flagged down officers and the suspects were apprehended at the scene. A firearm was recovered.
On Monday, November 11, 2019, 28 year-old Yocelin Odili Euceda, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun). Additionally, 18 year-old Erick Alexander Blanco-Cordova, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol without a License.
