Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

First District:

On Monday, February 3, 2020, 41 year-old Wayne Robertson, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Monday, February 3, 2020, in the 900 block of 12th Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-020-644

At approximately 3:34 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

On Monday, February 3, 2020, 18 year-old Davone Foote and 18 year-old Markell Howard, both of Southwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Monday, February 3, 2020, in the 1300 block of Half Street, Southwest. CCN: 20-020-906

At approximately 10:49 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects grabbed the victim and then took the victim’s property. Two of the suspects were apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.

Fifth District:

On Thursday, February 6, 2020, 29 year-old Richard Bennett, of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, February 6, 2020, in the 300 block of Florida Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 20-022-433

At approximately 10:50 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
