Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests made in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

Third District:

On Friday, May 1, 2020, 36 year-old Alfonso Alegria, of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Friday, May 1, 2020, in the Unit block of New York Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 20-065-868

At approximately 2:41 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

Fifth District:

On Thursday, May 7, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 20 year-old Drayvin Jahvon Wilson, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, in the 1100 block of 17th Street, Northeast. CCN: 18-127-467

At approximately 11:18 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victim’s property. One of the suspects assaulted the victim. The suspects then fled the scene without the victim’s property. This case remains under investigation.
