Fires are unfortunately more common during the holiday season. This is a great opportunity to confirm that your smoke detectors are working properly. TheDC Fire and EMS Department installs smoke detectors free of charge to residents, simply call 311 or request one online by clicking HERE and selecting “FEMS – Smoke Alarm Application” from the drop down menu.
