(Washington, DC) – Mayor Muriel Bowser has directed an additional $5,000,000 of the District’s Contingency Cash Reserve Fund for the purchase of needed supplies, protective equipment, and other necessary equipment for DC’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Mayor has declared both a state of emergency and a public health emergency. The DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) will activate the District’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Joint Information Center (JIC) to provide additional coordination for the District’s COVID-19 response.
