On Tuesday, Mayor Bowser will join leaders at the United Nation Association’s Human Rights Awards to honor individuals and organizations who have promoted human rights at home and abroad.
On Wednesday, Mayor Bowser will highlight her Administration’s Home for the Holidays campaign to place vulnerable families and individuals into permanent housing during the holiday season.
On Thursday, Mayor Bowser will join Events DC to break ground on a project to further connect the Walter E. Washington Convention Center with the neighborhood.
On Friday, Mayor Bowser will highlight ways DCPS is reimagining the student experience at Anacostia and Ballou High Schools in Ward 8 through a school redesign process grounded in student and community engagement and feedback.
On Saturday, Mayor Bowser and District education leaders will showcase more than 200 DC public and public charter schools at EdFEST 2019, DC’s annual public school informational fair. That afternoon, the Mayor will break ground on the modernization of the Lafayette Recreation Center, delivering a new multipurpose room, new offices spaces for staff, a classroom for student learning, and renovated restrooms.
