The Trinidad Neighborhood Association held their monthly community meeting at 7 p.m. at Trinidad Recreation Center. During this meeting, 5th District police officer Chandler confirmed that in the past 7 days there\’s been zero shootings in the Trinidad neighborhood. He also confirmed that on every call for gunshots (in some cases it actually may be cars backfiring or kids shooting fireworks), the complaint is logged.

Community cleanup is going to be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month which is May 14th from 10 a.m. to noon. They will meet at Joe Cole Community Center located on Montello Ave and Morse Street NE.

On May 22nd Trinidad Association is hosting The Trinidad Garden Tour. The pre-tour social starts at noon and the walking tour starts at 1 p.m. on the corner of Montello and Morse Street.

The association is planning an Energy Efficient Workshop and Litter prevention on June 28th. Trinidad Day has been proposed for August 6th from noon to 7 p.m.
