*Updated with Additional Photos* Vehicle of Interest Sought in a Hit and Run With Injuries: 3900 Block of Benning Road, Northeast

Investigators with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic crash that occurred on Thursday, August 1, 2019, in the 3900 block of Benning Road, Northeast.
According to the preliminary investigation, at approximately 9:57 pm, the victim was walking at the listed location when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling on Benning Road, Northeast. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 4-door sedan style vehicle, light in color, and likely has damage to the front end and windshield. The vehicle of interest was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the phones and video link below:
