Arrest Made in a Burglary Two of an Establishment and an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1900 Block of 14th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to a Burglary Two of an Establishment and an Assault with a Dangerous (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest
At approximately 9:45 pm, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property from an employee area.  The employees confronted the suspect and a struggle ensued.  The suspect brandished a knife and then fled the scene.  The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Saturday, October 19, 2019, 19 year-old Jakeem Pope, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two of an Establishment and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
