Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, November 1, 2019, in the 300 block of Douglas Street, Northeast.
At approximately 7:22 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. A firearm was recovered.
On Friday, November 1, 2019, 29 year-old Donovan Fitzgerald Tindell, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
