(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2019, in the 2200 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 12:42 pm, the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal dispute at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect brandished a knife and cut the victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 53 year-old Philbert Pierre, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
