Arrest Made in an Assault with Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and Burglary Two Offenses in the First District
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department\’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and Burglary Two offenses that occurred in the First District.
Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife): On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at approximately 7:57 pm, the suspect approached the victim in the L’Enfant Promenade, Southwest. The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. CCN: 20-047-293
Burglary Two: On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at approximately 1:40 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northeast. Once inside, the suspect took property and fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-047-442
Burglary Two: On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at approximately 2:00 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northeast. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-047-488
On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, 20 year-old David Randolph, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and two counts of Burglary Two.
