Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in the 4800 Block of East Capitol Street, Northeast.
At approximately 5:30 am, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation, inside of a residence, at the listed location. The suspect physically assaulted the victim then brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The detectives’ investigation revealed that this offense is domestic in nature.
On Wednesday, January 1, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 24 year-old Patrick Roberts Jr, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Knife).
