Arrests Made in an Armed Carjacking and Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announce arrests have been made in reference to Armed Carjacking and Robbery offenses that occurred at the below locations.

 

First District:

 

  • On Monday, November 23, 2020, in the 100 block of 5th Street, Northeast, at approximately 6:15 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property. The victims refused and were assaulted by the suspects. The suspects then fled the scene without obtaining any property. Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery while Armed, CCN 20167539

 

Fifth District:

 

  • On Monday, November 23, 2020, in the 400 block of 17th Street, Northeast, at approximately 8:20 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Armed Carjacking, CCN 20167508

 

On Monday, November 23, 2020, a 14-year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, 13-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC and a 13-year-old juvenile male of Northeast, DC were arrested and charged with the above offenses.

 

These cases remain under investigation.
