Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, August 4, 2019, in the 2000 block of 11th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 1:46 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and fired at the victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers. A weapon was recovered on the scene.
On Sunday, August 4, 2019, 22 year-old Kentrell Deshawn Hill Gay, of Hyattsville, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.
Additionally, 22 year-old Arthur Hightower, of Temple Hills, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.
