Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Third District:
On Friday, April 3, 2020, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Friday, April 3, 2020, in the 1600 block of Columbia Road, Northwest. CCN: 20-054-585
At approximately 10:50 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, in the 1800 block of 1st Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-056-021
At approximately 1:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene.
Seventh District:
On Saturday, April 4, 2020, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, in the 100 block of Wayne Place, Southeast. CCN: 20-053-776
At approximately 9:39 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded US currency. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.
On Monday, April 6, 2020, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, March 30, 2020, in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-052-945
At approximately 9:05 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
