Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

First District:

On Saturday, April 11, 2020, 19 year-old Cory Buie, of Suitland, MD, a 15 year-old juvenile male, and a 17 year-old juvenile male, both of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) and an Assault With Intent to Commit Robbery while Armed offenses that occurred on Friday, April 10, 2020:

Assault With Intent to Commit Robbery while Armed: In the 1400 block of G Street, Northeast, at approximately 11:29 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property. The victim did not comply and the suspects fled the scene. CCN: 20-057-592
Armed Robbery (Gun): In the 600 block of 14th Street, Northeast, at approximately 11:33 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property. The suspects took the victim’s property then fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers. A handgun was recovered on the scene. CCN: 20-057-587

Seventh District:

On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King, Jr Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-047-159

At approximately 11:29 pm, the suspect approached the victim in an establishment at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
