Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:
On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, two 15-year-old Juvenile Males, of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in the 300 block of 12th Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-212-372
At approximately 2:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property. The suspects then fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
Third District:
On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, a 17-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northwest, DC, and on Thursday, December 5, 2019, a 17-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Monday, December 2, 2019, in the 1800 block of 13th Street, Northwest. At approximately 8:39 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects demanded the victim’s property. The suspects attempted to take property from the victim but were unsuccessful. The suspects then fled the scene.
Fourth District:
On Friday, November 29, 2019, 29 year-old Rafael Martinez, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, November 29, 2019, in the 3800 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-212-877
At approximately 1:50 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched US currency from the victim and then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, 20 year-old Anevay Hurey, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in the 200 block of Farragut Street, Northwest. CCN 19-216-482
At approximately 8:00 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspects took the victim’s vehicle keys and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
Fifth District:
On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, 27 year-old Christopher Davis, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, June 30, 2018, in the 1800 block of Benning Road, Northeast. CCN: 18-106-786
At approximately 11:11 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Sixth District:
On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, 18-year-old Tyrone Joseph Hawkins, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in the 500 block of 50th Place, Northeast. CCN: 19-215-515
At approximately 1:00 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Seventh District:
On Monday, December 2, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, October 25, 2019, in the 100 block of Atlantic Street, Southwest. CCN: 19-191-287.
At approximately 3:20 pm, two suspects approached the victims inside of the listed location. One suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
On Thursday, December 5, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, October 26, 2019, in the 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest. CCN: 19-191-918
At approximately 5:45 am, the victim and suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the Offer Up online application. When the victim arrived, two suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects brandished a knife and took property from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
