Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:
- On Sunday, November 1, 2020, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 1, 2020, in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-156-346
- At approximately 2:13 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s US currency. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
- On Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 22 year-old Jovan Barnes, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, in the 900 block of L’Enfant Plaza, Southwest. CCN: 20-157-853
- At approximately 12:46 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and took the victim’s property. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
Third District:
- On Saturday, October 31, 2020, 20 year-old Christian Gary, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery offense that occurred on Saturday, October 31, 2020, in the 2000 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-155-627
- At approximately 1:11 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim, took the victim’s property, then fled the scene.
Sixth District:
- On Monday, November 2, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 29 year-old Frankia Jackson, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, September 28, 2020, in the 2400 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-138-645
- At approximately 4:40 pm, the suspects entered an establishment at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded US currency. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
