Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

Fourth District:

 

  • On Thursday, January 14, 2021, 37 year-old Jermale McKnight, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Thursday, January 14, 2021, in the 3500 block of 16th Street, Northwest. CCN 21-006-219
    • At approximately 1:38 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and attempted to take the victim’s cell phone. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Sunday, January 10, 2021, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in the 4600 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest. CCN: 21-004-370
    • At approximately 6:45 am, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. Two of the suspects brandished firearms. The suspects took property from the victim then fled the scene. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
