Arrests Made in Two Homicides: 3000 Block of Stanton Road, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce arrests have been made in reference to two homicides that occurred in the 3000 block of Stanton Road, Southeast.

 

On Monday, January 18, 2021, at approximately 11:10 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located three adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported the victims to area hospitals for treatment. Two victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries. After all life-savings efforts failed, the third victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent has been identified as 32 year-old Terrence Allen, of Southeast, DC.

 

When members responded to the scene, one of the victims was found to be in possession of a firearm. On Monday, January 18, 2021, a 24 year-old adult male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol without a License.

 

On Wednesday, February 17, 2021, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrants, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 23 year-old Vorreze Thomas, and 26 year-old Delonta Stevenson, both of Southeast, DC. They both have been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated) and Assault with Intent to Kill while Armed.

 

Additionally, 26 year-old Delonta Stevenson, of Southeast, DC, was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed for a homicide that occurred on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at approximately 1:44 pm, in the 3000 block of Stanton Road, Southeast. The decedent in this case was identified as 22 year-old Matthew Thomas, of Southeast, DC.
