Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Friday, March 15, 2019, in the 1900 block of Savannah Terrace, Southeast.
At approximately 12:47 am, members of the Seventh District and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious child. Upon arrival, members located an unconscious juvenile female.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and after all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the cause of death as complications from injuries from blunt force trauma and ruled the manner of death a Homicide.
The decedent has been identified as 3-year-old Anniebelle Marsh, of Southeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099.
