The mission of The DC Voice is to provide an opportunity for local residents, educational and religious institutions, and businesses to; have a voice and provide a major online presence for all things local to their communities.

Most underserved communities only gain public spotlight or notoriety based on the latest criminal act or social disparity while the families sustaining those communities and providing positive role models go begging to be seen…. or heard.

The DC Voice was born out of that cry to be heard. All voices, young, old, deaf, disabled, and marginalized need a voice. The DC Voice stands as that voice!

All donations given to The DC Voice are used to help sustain this publication. We hire writers and contributors of all ages and all parts of the community. Our focus over the past 3 years are our student writers. We have offered opportunities to high schoolers through college students to apply their journalistic and media talents.
