Vehicle of Interest Sought in Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offenses in the Fourth District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force seek assistance in locating a vehicle of interest in Armed Carjacking (Gun) offenses that occurred in the Fourth District.

 

  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Saturday, February 6, 2021, at approximately 11:00 pm, in the 4000 block of 9th Street, Northeast, the suspects approached the victims’ vehicle at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN 21-016-722
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at approximately 6:40 pm, in the 3900 block of 9th Street, Northeast, the suspects approached the victims’ vehicle at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s keys. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN 21-017-956

 

The vehicle of interest, used by the suspects in these offenses, is described as a 4-door, red 2012 Toyota Corolla with Maryland license plate number 7DZ6802 and can be seen in the photo below:

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
