Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District seek the public’s assistance in locating a wanted suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in the 2900 block of 30th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 4:33 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect in this case has been identified as 37 year-old Gregory Toran, of Jessup, MD. Toran is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun). Toran can be seen in the photos below. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
