Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, September 9, 2019, in the 3400 block of A Street, Southeast.
At approximately 7:22 pm, the suspects and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and fired a shot, striking the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19-year-old Sincere Howard, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
This case remains under investigation.
